In an apparent planned attack on the Dallas Police Department, multiple gunmen opened fire on police headquarters early Saturday morning, then fled in an armored vehicle, and are now in a standoff with officers at a nearby Jack in the Box parking lot, police said.
Meanwhile, police are investigating at least four suspicious bags left outside their headquarters, one of which detonated as an explosives robot attempted to move it. Police later tweeted that a device found under a police vehicle at the headquarters also detonated.
This is the first time DPD HQ has been under attack.
